The authors have announced the length of the Stranger Things season 4 part 2 finale. The first portion of Netflix's fourth season, which consists of seven episodes in total, was just released, reigniting fan excitement for the hit show. Stranger Things season 4 part 2 will premiere in July and will include two more episodes, including the season finale, for a total of nine episodes. Stranger Things Season 4 begins nine months after the events at Hawkins' Starcourt Mall, which separated the gang of friends and sent Hopper to Russia.


The show also stars Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elm Street) as Victor Creel and Jamie Campbell Bower (Twilight) as Vecna, the story's new villain. After a long wait for the new season, it was stated ahead of time that the episodes would be longer than normal, and this was confirmed when part 1 was published, revealing that the first seven episodes of Stranger Things season 4 were all over an hour long.

With fans eagerly anticipating the season's final two episodes, the Stranger Things writers twitter account announced that the season's finale will run 2 hours and 19 minutes, which is less than the previously reported 2 hours and 30 minutes, but still longer than most feature films and the show's longest finale to date. Stranger Things season 4 is being stretched and lengthened by Netflix after a three-year wait, and part 2 is no exception.
