Becoming popular by making videos on YouTube has now become the dream of many people. As the number of subscribers on the channel increases, the awards given by YouTube also start coming. One of these is the Golden Play Button, which is one of the most special awards given by YouTube. But to get it, just increasing the subscribers is not enough, it also has some terms and conditions.
When do you get the Golden Button?
You get the Golden Button on YouTube when a channel completes 1 million (10 lakh) subscribers. It is given by YouTube to the creators as a recognition of their hard work and success. The Golden Button is a great looking plaque in which the name of the channel is written and it is sent directly by YouTube.
Is just 10 lakh subscribers enough?
No, just completing 10 lakh subscribers is not enough. YouTube ensures that the subscribers are organic i.e. real, no fake activity or subscriber boosting
service has been used. Apart from this, the channel should follow YouTube's community guidelines, terms of
service and copyright policy.
How is the channel reviewed?
As soon as a channel reaches 1 million subscribers, YouTube's team does a manual
review of that channel. In this process, it is seen whether there has been any rule violation on the channel in recent months, whether there has been any community strike, copyright claim or spam complaint. If everything is found correct, then only the channel is considered eligible for the Golden Button.
How to get the Golden Button?
When your channel meets all the rules, YouTube sends you a notification on the Creator Awards dashboard in which a redemption code is given. With the help of this code, you can go to YouTube's website and order for your award. For this, you have to fill in the channel name, delivery address and other details. After this, within a few weeks, your Golden Button is sent to your address.
In what situations can you get denied?
If YouTube feels that your channel has violated any policies, or your subscribers are not real, then it can refuse to give you this award. Sometimes the award is rejected even if the channel is inactive or if it repeatedly violates the rules.
