Inspection of Development Projects in Perambur

Tamil Nadu minister P. K. Sekarbabu conducted an inspection of various ongoing development projects in Thiru. Vi. Ka. Nagar, located in Perambur, Chennai.

During the visit, the minister reviewed infrastructure improvement works being carried out in the area, including road relaying, stormwater drain construction, sanitation upgrades, and other civic amenities aimed at improving living standards for residents.

Officials from the Greater chennai Corporation accompanied the minister and provided updates on the progress of each project. He instructed authorities to ensure that works are completed within the stipulated timeframe without compromising on quality. The minister emphasized that public welfare projects must directly benefit residents and address long-standing civic issues.

Focus on Public Welfare and Infrastructure

Speaking to reporters, minister Sekarbabu reiterated the tamil Nadu government’s commitment to strengthening urban infrastructure and delivering people-centric governance. He highlighted that several schemes are being implemented across chennai to improve roads, drainage systems, and public facilities, especially in densely populated areas like Perambur.

He added that continuous monitoring of projects would be undertaken to avoid delays and ensure transparency in execution.

Remarks on Anganwadi event Controversy

Responding to questions from the media regarding a recent issue involving an event for Anganwadi (balwadi) children, the minister criticised opposition parties for politicising welfare activities meant for children.

He stated that programs organised for young children should not become platforms for political debate or controversy. According to him, the government’s focus remains on providing nutrition, education, and better facilities for children through welfare schemes.

The minister asserted that the ruling party would continue to prioritise the well-being of children and the underprivileged, rather than engaging in political arguments over celebratory or welfare events.

Government’s Continued Commitment

Concluding his interaction with the media, minister Sekarbabu reaffirmed that the tamil Nadu government is committed to inclusive development. He assured that civic infrastructure upgrades and social welfare initiatives would continue to be implemented efficiently for the benefit of all sections of society.
