Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has finally taken over as Twitter's top executive, and his first task was apparently to replace the company's policy chief Vijaya Gadde, chief executive of indian descent Parag Agrawal, and chief financial officer Ned Segal. Agrawal and Segal have departed the business' san francisco offices and won't be coming back, according to a CNBC report on friday that cited sources. According to The Washington Post, Gadde, the director of legal policy, trust, and safety, was also let go. According to Insider, Musk also let go of Twitter's senior counsel Sean Edgett and chief customer officer Sarah Personette.

Musk sacked several executives, and they all earned hefty compensation. According to Insider, Agrawal received $38.7 million, Segal $25.4 million, Gadde $12.5 million, and Personette $11.2 million. Jason Calacanis, a business associate of Elon Musk, said: "Day one. Boys, sharpen your swords." It appears that Twitter's servers are still operational. Calacanis threw in. He had before said to Musk, "Becoming the CEO of twitter is my ideal job."

Musk explained to advertisers on thursday why he is finally buying twitter, saying that he wants the service to be the most reputable advertising platform in the world where users of all ages can watch movies or play video games. He stated that twitter cannot turn into a free-for-all hellscape where anything can be uttered without repercussions in a letter to advertisers.
