The ponniyin selvan 2 team has been travelling between cities, actively marketing the movie. The Chola Tour got underway on sunday (April 16) from coimbatore with a bang. On the first day of the promotions, the main cast of the movie, Vikram, Trisha, jayam ravi, Karthi, and aishwarya Lekshmi, were there.

Jayam ravi was questioned by Anjana, the event's emcee, on whether he would be interested in working on a mani ratnam sequel.
