Malik is one of those gangster dramas where the protagonist is being worshipped like a larger-than-life persona who is the savior of their community. But what makes Malik unique and engaging is the character sketches crafted. The movie has so many characters and each of those roles was played to utmost perfection and beautifully performed by the supporting actors. Each character had their own value and which was important and pivotal in the movie.


The screenplay adds another beauty to this movie as the director Mahesh Narayan has managed to pull off something that's as close to Martin Scorsese's gangster films. The Cinematography in the opening scene of the movie and in many places in the movie was brilliant. The background score was captivating and it was perfect and a pure immersive experience for fans and our audience.


The movie has some minor flaws and considering how the movie was made it demanded a few more minutes of explaining certain things but the performances from the leads and some sensational gangster drama make all these minor flaws don't even bother you. Although the movie has the Godfather template but the nuances and the intricacies in the lives of the characters, the relationship to each other character and the plot of the movie Malik makes it a Modern-Day Masterpiece.
