A tutoring institute in maharashtra has been charged with fraud during the National Eligibility Cumulation Entrance Test (NEET) 2021. It was discovered during an ongoing cbi probe that some people pretended to be students and took the medical admission exam. In compensation for someone else sitting their test on their behalf, students were requested to pay Rs 50 lakh.

In this situation, the participation of more than one pupil is being highlighted. According to reports, while some candidates employed proxy or exam solvers, the OMR sheets have tampered in some circumstances, and some candidates changed their data. A complaint has been filed by the cbi against a Nagpur-based academy that is accused of securing admission to renowned medical universities in exchange for money. At least five test centers in ranchi and delhi are investigating proxy cases. On september 12, an FIR was filed in this connection.

According to The Hindu, students' usernames and passwords were stolen, and alterations were made to their admission cards, pictures were altered, and e-Aadhar duplicates were generated to assure proxy applicants' entry into examination centres. Previously, the NEET question paper was circulated via whatsapp outside the exam centre. In connection with the incident, authorities detained 18-year-old applicant Dineshwari Kumari, as well as examiner ram Singh, the head of the exam center's administration unit Mukesh, Dineshwari's uncle, and four others.
