West bengal governor jagdeep Dhankar has been admitted to delhi AIIMS Hospital. He was admitted for treatment due to sudden illness and was diagnosed with malaria.


Governor had left for delhi after the darjeeling tour

Governor jagdeep dhankhar had recently visited Darjeeling. It is estimated that he contracted malaria during his visit to Darjeeling. However, on friday when he left for delhi from Bagdogra. His health was fine at that time, but from saturday he started getting a fever. 


After this jagdeep dhankhar got his blood tested on saturday without delay. Malaria infection was found in his body in the blood test report. Since then he was undergoing treatment at Banga Bhawan itself, but on monday when his fever intensified, he was admitted to AIIMS in Delhi. His wife has also gone to delhi with the Governor.

So the doctors advised him to have a blood test again and he underwent a blood test. In which he was confirmed with malaria. After this, doctors were closely monitoring his condition while he was staying at AIIMS.


The hospital management said that governor jagdeep Dhankar is being treated under the supervision of a team of specialized doctors.

Governor jagdeep dhankhar was on a tour of North Bengal 

The governor had gone to darjeeling via Bagdogra on the maha Saptami of Durga Puja. He went to delhi from Bagdogra on 22 october after staying for 10 days. 


In this sequence, the governor had questioned the role of the state government. He had made allegations of corruption in many cases. 


He also complained about the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) corruption in Darjeeling. He had said that the central and state governments have given crores of rupees to the GTA. But there is no account of that money.
