In addition to the state intelligence department and the indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) of strategist prashant Kishore, ysr congress party president and andhra pradesh chief minister Y S jagan Mohan reddy has been commissioning periodic surveys by various agencies on the performance of his party's MLAs. A Delh-based organisation and other survey organisations are doing periodic surveys on the ground-level situation of the party in addition to I-PAC, which is presenting reports on the MLAs once every three months, sources said.

Nearly every three months, he receives reports from these agencies as well. Nobody understands how these surveys are conducted and the technique used for the same, and one agency is unaware of what the other agency performs. It's also said that the state intelligence agency keeps an eye on whether these organisations are really conducting the polls or just providing him with results that have been specifically tailored for him. Each and every report has been treated with strictest confidence.

Jagan occasionally instructs the misbehaving MLAs to change the way they conduct themselves because surveys show that their performance fell far short of expectations. He does not, however, wish to inform any of the MLAs of the results of these surveys. Some MLAs may have urged the chief minister to share the results of the surveys with them after sensing that the feedback was not favourable, presumably so they could correct the errors that were identified during the surveys. But according to reports, jagan strongly refused their request and instead advised them to concentrate on their respective constituencies rather than making the rounds to Tadepalli.
