Nara lokesh, the general secretary of the telugu desam party and the son of party president N Chandrababu Naidu, is strengthening his biceps in preparation for his marathon padayatra through andhra pradesh beginning on january 27. The jagan Mohan reddy government might refuse to let lokesh take up the programme citing law and order difficulties, which has the party leaders wary about the padayatra's actions. "One wonders whether the jagan government would allow lokesh to go on such a padayatra after observing the kind of violent happenings in macherla town and the obstacles set by YSRC rank and file to the padayatra of amaravati farmers," a tdp leader remarked.

Lokesh's padayatra request is unlikely to be approved by the police because of the possibility that he could incite opposition party supporters by making disparaging remarks about the jagan Mohan reddy administration and the YSRCP. Even with permission from the court, lokesh would not be able to complete the marathon walk since the YSRCP leaders and cadre would hold counter demonstrations across the padayatra, which could cause law and order issues everywhere he goes.

Jagan might refuse to permit the police to grant permission for the lokesh padayatra because he doesn't want anyone to sow discord or foster an anti-establishment mood in the state. Additionally, the tdp leader would not remain silent but would criticise the jagan administration, which would create unrest in the state. The padayatra was initially supposed to commence in Kuppam, his father's home constituency in the chittoor district, and end in Itchapuram, in the srikakulam district, which borders Odisha.
