As the parliament reconvenes for Day 2 of the ongoing Winter Session on Tuesday, members of the Upper house are expected to resume talks on the country's current economic position. According to reports, rajya sabha MPs ayodhya Rami Reddy, Birendra prasad Baishya, Ghanshyam Tiwari, Lakshmikant Bajpayee, Sushil Kumar Modi, Aditya Prasad, and Shambhu sharan Patel would begin a discussion on the 'economic scenario in the country' on Tuesday.

Earlier, on Monday, the opening day of Parliament's Winter Session, two bills were enacted, and the rajya sabha decided to lift the suspension of AAP mp Raghav Chadha.

In the two Houses, the Standing Committee reports on 'The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023,' 'The Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023,' and 'The Bharatiya Sakshya Bill, 2023' were tabled.

Brij Lal, mp and Chairman of the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on home Affairs, delivered the findings to rajya sabha Chairman jagdeep dhankhar on november 10.

The three legislation are on the government's agenda for the winter session of Parliament.

The report of the Ethics Committee, which investigated charges of cash-for-query against trinamool congress mp Mahua Moitra, was not tabled in the Lok Sabha, despite being on the schedule.

The rajya sabha passed a bill repealing the indian Post office Act of 1898 and consolidating and amending the law governing post offices in India.

Some sections of the measure were questioned by opposition members, who wondered if the administration intended to create a "surveillance state."

The administration dismissed the members' concerns. Devusinh Chauhan, minister of State for Communications, stated that safeguards had been established for national security concerns and that comparable measures were in the earlier version of the Post office Bill as well.
