During raids at multiple locations associated with shiva Balakrishna, secretary of the telangana State Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TSRERA) and former director of the hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) allegedly recovered Rs 40 lakh in unaccounted cash, as well as properties and other valuables worth Rs 100 crore.

The raids are taking place at up to 16 different sites, with 18 acb teams executing the operations. gold, cell phones, bank accounts, and apartments are among the assets and properties seized, totaling Rs 100 crore. According to acb personnel, shiva Balakrishna's family is not helping with the search activities.

The investigative teams are currently looking through shiva Balakrishna's bank lockers and other valuables. The searches began at 5 a.m. today and included 20 locations. They are anticipated to continue till tomorrow. acb personnel searched hmda and RERA offices, while Mr Balakrishna's residence and other significant locations related to the investigation were raided.

A case of unexplained assets has been filed against Mr Balakrishna, who is suspected of using his official position to amass vast riches. The searches revealed assets worth over ₹ 100 crore, including gold, residences, bank savings, and benami holdings. The confiscated materials include ₹ 40 lakh in cash, two kilogrammes of gold jewellery, 60 high-end wristwatches, property paperwork, and large bank deposits. In addition, 14 phones, 10 computers, and a variety of electronic devices were taken.
