Telangana chief minister ordered authorities to quit portraying the state as wealthy by "suppressing the facts." The chief minister directed authorities to undertake a thorough study to identify the villages and habitations that are experiencing a drinking water issue.

As the sarpanches' terms expire at the end of this month, he requested that the government take responsibility for the communities' drinking water supply.

The engineers were instructed to tour all communities and compile a list of habitations without an adequate drinking water supply facility. "The new proposals will be made and sent to the Centre to seek funds under the Jal jeevan Mission," the official added.

Rs 1 cr special fund to each Assembly: Revanth


Officials were ordered to take any actions to address the summer drinking water situation.

He instructed that Rs.1 crore be allocated to each assembly seat from the Rs 10 crore Special Development Fund for drinking water requirements.

The cm made it clear that water available in all of the state's projects and reservoirs should be used first and foremost for drinking water.

"The government will also place a special emphasis on building Self Help Groups by giving financial assistance. Women's organizations should be assigned the task of sewing uniforms for pupils at government schools, Gurukul, hostels, and the police. If necessary, the women's organisations will be supplied with training, and preparations will be made," he stated.
