A former employee of the telangana State women Development and Child Welfare Department (WDCWD) was detained by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) for embezzlement and fund-siphoning of Rs 65.78 lakh. The money was intended to be used for the state's milk distribution program for tribal children. Anishetty Sridevi, the officer, served as the CDPO for the Jainoor ICDS project in the adilabad district from 2015 to 2016.
 

“The accused officer abused her official position, by corrupt and illegal means, obtained pecuniary gain and undue advantage, and caused corresponding loss to government exchequer by creating a false statement for incurring expenses under the Arogyalaxmi Milk Supply to 322 Anganwadi centers,” said the acb in a press release. The cop was taken into custody, appeared before an acb judge, and an inquiry is still on.
 

According to data supplied by the women Safety Wing of telangana police, the Cyberabad SHE teams received the greatest number of harassment cases—1,571—in the state. The statistic lists the number of instances as of the end of September. Rachakonda recorded 298 instances, hyderabad 1,240 cases, while the Cyberabad jurisdiction documented 1,571 cases. According to the data, 5,125 instances have been reported in total thus far. There are presently 331 SHE teams operating throughout the state, according to Additional director General of police (DGP) (Telangana), swathi Lakra, in remarks to the media.
