Scientist and head of the local meteorological office in New delhi Kuldeep Srivastava told news agency PTI that although wednesday was the warmest day on record, the heat was not felt because of overcast sky and light rains in several regions of the delhi National capital Region.
 
On wednesday, Delhi's lowest temperature was 19.4 degrees Celsius, which is one degree warmer than usual. Throughout the day, the relative humidity varied between 82% and 33%.

According to the most recent prognosis from the meteorological service, the city is set to have overcast skies, light rain, and drizzle throughout the next three days. It is anticipated that the highest and lowest temperatures will reach 37 and 20 degrees Celsius, respectively.
 
The city may see increasing temperatures in April, according to the meteorological service.
 
Meanwhile, the central pollution control board (CPCB) reports that the air Quality Index (AQI), with a rating of 177, was in the "moderate" category.
 
The classification of an AQI is as follows: 0–50 = "good", 51–100 = "satisfactory", 101–200 = "moderate", 201–300 = "poor", 301–400 = "very poor", and 401–500 = "severe".
