The introduction of a new age restriction for Class I admissions at CBSE schools has confused parents in hyderabad, and the increase in admission costs has made matters worse. Their worries have been exacerbated by the State's lack of control over school fees. The new Class I age restriction regulation and a 10% increase in admission costs have been implemented by CBSE school authorities.

Parents, who often choose CBSE schools, are also concerned about the difference in age restrictions between SSC (State Board) schools and CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). For example, SSC has a minimum age of five, but CBSE sets a minimum age of six. parents contend that the CBSE schools' six-year age limit for Class I admissions is not a recent policy; rather, it has just recently been put into effect. They emphasize that all schools must take identical steps, and they implore the education administration to act quickly to resolve the matter.

Hyderabad parents Association voiced dissatisfaction in an article published in The Pioneer, pointing out that most private schools—particularly those affiliated with the CBSE—finish accepting applications by november or December, leaving a short window for remaining admissions.  A tirupati Reddy Committee study states that certain schools have increased entrance costs by 10–30%. For Class I, the rates range from Rs 70,000 to Rs 80,000. The issue of excessive costs has not been addressed by the administration, despite protests and concerns.
