đ What is UP TET 2026?
UP TET (Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) is a stateâlevel eligibility examination for candidates who want to become teachers in primary (Classes 1â5) or upper primary (Classes 6â8) schools in Uttar Pradesh. The UP TET 2026 notification and online application process have been released by the Uttar Pradesh Basic education Board (UPBEB) / Uttar Pradesh education service Selection Commission (UPESSC). The exam is scheduled for 2nd, 3rd & 4th July 2026.

Before filling the form, keep the following ready:
â Active mobile number & email ID
â Aadhar card or any valid photo ID (Voter ID, PAN, Passport)
â Educational certificates (10th, 12th, Graduation mark sheets)
â Passportâsize photo (recent)
â Scanned signature
â Bank/debit/credit card or netâbanking for fee payment

1ď¸âŁÂ Visit the Official application Portal
Go to the official UP TET application website:
đ uptet.upessc.org or upessc.up.gov.in (where the UPTET 2026 link is activated).
2ď¸âŁÂ New Registration / OTR (One Time Registration)
Since UP TET 2026 uses an OTR system:
¡ Click âNew Registration / OTRâ (if you are a firstâtime applicant).
¡ Enter your basic details: name, date of birth, mobile number, email.
¡ You will receive a registration number and OTP on your phone/email for verification.
If you already registered earlier, log in using your existing credentials.
3ď¸âŁÂ Fill the UP TET application Form
Once registered and logged in:
â Enter personal details
â Fill contact information
â Select the paper you want to apply for â
⢠Paper I â Primary Level (Class 1â5)
⢠Paper II â Upper Primary (Class 6â8)
â Choose your exam centre preference
â Enter educational qualifications (as per notification)
4ď¸âŁÂ Upload Photograph & Signature
Follow the upload specifications:
¡ Photograph: small passport size (usually JPG/JPEG)
¡ Signature: in clear format
Make sure images meet the size requirements as given in the notification.
5ď¸âŁÂ Application Fee Payment
After uploading:
đł Pay the application fee online (debit/credit/netâbanking) or via EâChallan at bank (if available on site).
Fees are based on category (general, reserved, PwD etc).
Typical fee structure:
¡ General / OBC / EWS â approx. âš600 (per Paper) or âš1200 (both Papers)
¡ sc / st â approx. âš400 / âš800
¡ PwD â lower fee category (check notification)
6ď¸âŁÂ Submit and Print Confirmation
â After fee payment, submit the application form.
â Take a printout of the confirmation page / filled form for future reference.
đ ď¸Â Correction Window (If Available)
Sometimes authorities allow a limited correction window after submission where you can fix mistakes like spelling errors, category, centre choice, etc. Always check the official site for dates if corrections are allowed.
