The hyderabad Cycling community has launched a 30-day Active Mobility Challenge to reach the target of 50% of Hyderabadis using bicycles and other public transit by 2030. Citizens must document their active mobility movements in this challenge. They may upload a photo on social media with the hashtag #ActiveMobility included in the headline if they are taking the metro, bus, or MMTS. Furthermore, they must tag hyderabad Cycling Revolution (HCR) in posts they make on the Strava app.

Due to its many advantages, including cutting air pollution, boosting citizen health and well-being, and reducing traffic congestion, active mobility is very important in major cities like Hyderabad. The Active Mobility Challenge was started by the cycling community to encourage individuals to include active mobility in their everyday lives. Furthermore, the implementation of additional bicycle stands, such as the one at miyapur metro station, around the city by the State government will augment the program.

"Our vision is to have approximately 50% of residents use active mobility, whether by bicycle or public transportation, for at least half of their transportation needs," stated Santhana Selvan, Hyderabad's cycling mayor. We are now encouraging individuals to include active mobility in their daily routines to strive towards this aim. We recommend that at least two of every ten excursions taken during a given week should contain physical mobility.

Our goal for hyderabad is clear: we want to see public spaces and behaviours that encourage people to utilise active transport for 50% of their weekly travels, whether that means walking, cycling, using the bus, MMTS or metro. If this plan were put into action, it would improve the city's quality index and lessen common problems with traffic congestion. We've launched the 30-day Active Mobility Challenge to spread awareness of this aim," HCR's ravi Sambari stated.
