After the pahalgam terror attack, the security forces are continuing the search operation in different areas of Jammu and Kashmir. The deployment of security forces has been increased in the Hiranagar sector of Kathua district and a search operation is being carried out. A woman saw four suspects in the Channi area of Kathua and informed the police, after which the security forces immediately swung into action.
Suspects were seen near the international border

The security forces have cordoned off the area. The place where this search operation is being conducted is close to the international Border. Infiltration attempts have been made from these areas earlier as well.
Search operations are going on in these areas including Udhampur, Rajouri.
Defense forces are conducting search operations in the forest areas of Udhampur district to capture three absconding terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from this, search operations are also being conducted in the areas of Kishtwar, Kathua, Rajouri, and Poonch. According to a report by news agency PTI, an official said that the search operation of special jawans of the army and Central Reserve police Force (CRPF) is going on in Duddu-Basantgarh. Aerial surveillance is being done with helicopters and drones in this operation.
A soldier was martyred in Udhampur
An army Special Forces jawan was martyred in an encounter with terrorists on thursday (24 april 2025) in the Dudu-Basantgarh area of Udhampur. The jawan was identified as Havaldar Jhantu ali Sheikh of 6 Para of Special Forces. Searches are going on in the Chatru area of Kishtwar, Triyath area of Rajouri district, areas around Lakhanpur in the Kathua district, and Lasana in the Poonch district.
A security review meeting was held in Doda on friday under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar and Inspector General of police Bhim Sain Tuti to review the security situation in the area and preparedness for operations.
