26 innocent tourists have been tragically killed in a terrorist attack in pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The Pakistan-based Resistance Front (TRF), a front group of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), has claimed responsibility for the pahalgam attack. india has taken various measures against pakistan after this attack. Most importantly, india canceled the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan. Pakistan's livelihood depends on the Indus River, and pakistan was shocked by India's action. Although India's stoppage of Indus water will not have immediate consequences in pakistan, it will affect agriculture after a few months. It will be difficult for pakistan to predict floods and droughts.
This is why political leaders like Bilawal Bhutto and many Pakistani experts are openly threatening that if india stops Indus water, there will be a river of blood flowing there. In this situation, pakistan has requested china to stop the flow of Brahmaputra water into india in retaliation to India. Pakistanis believe that china will definitely teach india a lesson. In addition, Pakistani experts are presenting the situation in such a way that all rivers in india originate from China. The conflict between pakistan and india is different. It is important to understand that the conflict between india and pakistan is different. The first important point is that india does not spread terrorism inside china, and conflicts between the two countries are usually resolved through mutual negotiations. For example, the problem is resolved through talks, as was done after the Galwan clash. india has not tried to incite separatist movements or internal violence inside China. Therefore, china does not have the animosity that pakistan may have against India. The conflict between india and china is about border issues, which certainly have the potential to escalate dangerously. But china does not have the same reasons as Pakistan.

Just as india and pakistan are bound by the Indus Water Treaty, there is no such treaty between india and China. There is no legally binding, comprehensive water-sharing agreement between the two countries. However, there are MoUs to share hydrological data for some rivers, such as the Brahmaputra, during the monsoon season. But as an upstream country, china operates under the Indus Water Treaty framework with far fewer restrictions than India. If china were to withhold water from india, it would not be terrorism. It could be because of its energy projects or a desire for geopolitical influence. So, china is unlikely to implement Pakistan’s desire for china to do so against India.
