Hours after reporting that three indian fighter jets were shot down by pakistan following indian attacks, india requested that the Chinese state media, Global Times, "verify facts" and cross-check its sources. The indian Embassy in china said in a tweet that Global Times was disseminating false information on Operation Sindoor, the indian operation that used air, naval, and ground forces to combat terror groups in pakistan and POK.

The Chinese Communist party controls the media publication Global Times.  According to the site, which cited Pakistani military sources, three indian jets were shot down after india launched many precision attacks on terror bases in pakistan and POK.

"When media outlets share such information without verifying sources, it reflects a serious lapse in responsibility and journalistic ethics," the embassy tweeted.

Over 80 terrorists were killed in India's late-night operation, which was carried out in revenge for the pahalgam terror incident, according to sources who spoke to india Today TV.

India clarified the operation's details and claimed that, even two weeks after the pahalgam incident, which claimed 26 lives, largely of tourists, it had exercised its right to respond and that pakistan had not taken any concrete steps to combat the terrorist infrastructure.

"These were responsible, proportionate, non-escalatory, and measured activities. The indian embassy in china added, "They concentrated on destroying the terrorist infrastructure and incapacitating terrorists who might be sent to India."

Additionally, india cautioned against false information and unfounded allegations about Operation Sindoor on social media, claiming that pro-Pakistan accounts were reposting outdated pictures in the current context.
