Following the pahalgam attack, the indian Army retaliated in the name of Operation Sindoor. Following this, mutual attacks are taking place between the two countries. Due to this, there is great tension. Due to these attacks, civilians have been evacuated to safe places in the indian border states, and heavy security arrangements have been made. Moreover, surveillance work has been intensified at airports and railway stations. 24 airports along the borders, including Srinagar, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Halwara, Patiala, Shimla, Kangra, Bhatinda, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, have been closed due to security measures.
Several airlines, including air india, indigo, and SpiceJet, advised passengers to arrive at their respective airports at least three hours before scheduled departure on thursday amid rising India-Pak tensions. In this situation, air passengers have been advised to reach the airports 3 hours in advance. The order has been issued as per the aviation authorities' directives that passengers are allowed to board the aircraft only after rigorous screening. Furthermore, due to the increased security checks, visitors have been banned from the aircraft. Meanwhile, airlines including air india have announced that flight tickets to Jammu and other areas can be cancelled free of charge.
