Pakistan has resorted to its most pernicious weapon, disinformation, despite ceasefire violations, drones, and missiles bombarding the western border. Following India's precision attacks under Operation Sindoor, there was more than just military reprisal; a number of pro-Pakistan social media accounts launched a wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital smear campaign that was meticulously planned to distort the facts and manipulate public opinion.
 
The disinformation mill has been operating nonstop, using verified handles of Pakistani officials as well as dubious social media accounts.  False information, fabricated movies, and altered satellite photos are being spread and magnified, not only to mislead but also to hide Islamabad's own developments. This article disproves the false information that is going around the internet and dissects Pakistan's assertions.


According to a widely circulated photo, the Jammu air Force Base has experienced several explosions.
 But according to PIB Fact Check, the image in question is not recent nor from India.  It is from the august 2021 bombing of Kabul airport and is being erroneously connected to contemporary affairs in an attempt to incite fear.  


WAS THE PORT OF gujarat ATTACKED?
 
Another video that went viral online allegedly showed an assault on Gujarat's Hazira Port.  Upon confirmation, it turned out to be video of an explosion on an oil ship on July 7, 2021.
 The film is being circulated with deceptive intent and has nothing to do with gujarat or any ongoing military operations.


FAKE DRONE strike CLAIM
A video allegedly showing a drone attack in jalandhar has also gone viral.
PIB Fact Check confirmed that the clip actually depicts a farm fire, with a visible timestamp of 7.39 pm, predating the reported drone activity. The footage is being misrepresented to manufacture an alarm.
