Balakrishna, meanwhile, admitted to serving as Thakkar's courier and moving drugs between states on commission.
"On Thakkar's orders, the doctor gave ₹5 lakh in cash to balakrishna in hyderabad on May 4.
According to a Raidurgam police official cited by TOI, balakrishna gave Thakkar the money in mumbai and, on his orders, transported a shipment of cocaine to hyderabad on May 8.
"When he handed over the contraband to the doctor while sitting in her mini Cooper on the evening of May 8, after receiving an additional ₹10,000, we arrested them," said the official.
"For over a year, the doctor has been purchasing cocaine from Thakkar. Every month, she purchases the illegal goods. Thakkar sends her a whatsapp message with the delivery location and time. police claimed that he had activated vanishing messages.
Thakkar, the suspected kingpin, is still being sought by police. Sections 8(c) and 22(b) of the Narcotic drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act have been utilized to book the accused.
