
The Uttar Pradesh government has achieved a historic feat under the Right to education Act (RTE). The government has so far provided free admission to 1,26,293 poor and deprived children in private schools. This step is an important effort towards realizing the principle of 'Education is the right of all'. According to an official statement released on Tuesday, this figure is 68 percent of the total 1,85,675 allotted seats, which reflects the effective implementation of the scheme and the strength of work at the ground level.
According to the statement, this transparent process was completed in four phases. Under this, 3,34,953 applications were received, out of which 2,52,269 applications were approved. Out of the approved applications, 1,85,675 children were allotted seats in private schools, and so far the enrollment of more than 1.26 lakh children has been completed. This achievement is a solid step towards connecting the weaker sections of the society to the mainstream of education.

Basic education Minister sandeep singh described this achievement as a big step towards social justice. He said that this is not just a figure, but a hope to make the dreams of poor families come true. Our goal is that every child, whatever his social or economic background, gets quality education. We will try to take this number further, so that no child is deprived of better education.
