Following information received by the Enforcement Directorate about irregularities in TASMAC, a raid was conducted at the TASMAC head office and liquor factories. At the end of the raid, the Enforcement Directorate issued a report stating that there was corruption to the tune of Rs. 1000 crore. The Enforcement Directorate subsequently conducted searches at more than 10 locations, including the house of the TASMAC Managing Director, the offices of SNJ Liquor Company, the house of producer akash Bhaskaran, who is producing the film ‘Parasakthi’, and the house of businessman Devakumar.
It is said that important documents and information were found in the search conducted at the house of producer akash Bhaskaran. Therefore, a summons was sent to akash Bhaskaran to appear in person at the office in Nungambakkam on May 21. But he has not appeared for questioning and has absconded. The Enforcement Directorate is collecting information about his whereabouts.

Akash Bhaskaran is producing the film ‘Parasakthi’ starring Sivakarthikeyan, the film ‘Idli Kadai’ starring actor dhanush, and Simbu’s 49th film. It seems that documents have been seized by the Enforcement Department showing that a huge amount of cash was exchanged from Don Pictures to the three actors, Sivakarthikeyan, dhanush, and Simbu, for acting in these films. It has been reported that the Enforcement Directorate is planning to bring Sivakarthikeyan, Simbu, and dhanush under investigation as akash Bhaskaran is absconding.
