The fiscal year 2025–2026 has seen a strong start to the export of indian engineering products. There was an 11.28% gain in April. In comparison to last year, this is far better.

Goods shipments to nations including the USA, UAE, UK, Singapore, Brazil, and australia have significantly increased. india exported 9.51 billion dollars worth of technical goods in april 2025. It was $8.55 billion in the same month last year. This april has seen a strong increase in engineering goods exports. Engineering goods exports to the united states rose 17% in april to $1.66 billion. In the same month last year, it was $1.42 billion.

538.8 million dollars was the 37.3% rise in exports to the United Arab Emirates. It was 392.5 million dollars in april 2024.  This indicates that there is a growing need for indian engineering products in the United Arab Emirates.

In certain important markets, such as china, Turkey, Mexico, and Italy, the export of technical items has decreased.  Engineering goods exports to china fell 21.7% to 164.8 million dollars from 210.5 million dollars in april of the previous year.  This suggests that there is less of a need for indian technical products in these nations.  But this issue is also being connected to Operation Sindoor, in which pakistan received assistance from china and Turkey. india has since taken a more assertive stance toward both nations.

With the exception of europe and the CIS, increased exports have bolstered engineering goods exports. This outstanding performance has taken place during a period of global trade change. The world is undergoing political and economic transformations that have an impact on trade.

India-UK Agreement
Pankaj Chadha, the chairman of the Engineering Exports Promotion Council (EEPC) india, said, "It is very admirable that our exporters have managed to accomplish this rise despite several obstacles.  In these trying circumstances, the indian government's assistance is crucial.  An important step in improving our standing in the UK market is the free trade agreement between india and the UK. In the days ahead, we intend to keep going forward on this upward trajectory.

In april 2025, North America accounted for 21.1% of exports, making it the largest market.  West Asia and North Africa (14.1%) and the european union (17.4%) come next.  Additionally, exports from Oceania (36.4%), Sub-Saharan Africa (31.6%), and Latin America (27.2%) grew well.  This indicates that many regions of the world favor India's engineering products.
