Samantha Ruth Prabhu makes her telugu filmmaking debut as a producer with Subham. She and raj Nidumuru co-produced the movie, which was widely distributed in Telugu. Despite the film's poor opening receipts, the Theri actress jumped into action, vigorously promoted it, and eventually turned it into a success.
 
For the wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital and satellite rights, samantha first struck an agreement with ZEE5.  However, the OTT arrangement was abruptly canceled because of the film's sluggish start.  Samantha had no other option, so she went to JioCinema and closed a new OTT deal.


According to exclusive information, samantha paid Rs 3 crore for the OTT rights to Subham, which is a fairly reasonable sum for a movie without any well-known performers.  Samantha allegedly spent an additional Rs 1 crore for promotions, whereas Subham was produced on a modest budget of Rs 2.5 crore.  Everything the movie made in cinemas turned into pure profit because the OTT agreement alone covered her entire investment. 

During its theatrical run, Subham made around Rs 7 crore in revenue.  The horror-comedy was directed by praveen Kandregula of Mail fame.  Ironically, the lack of well-known actors caused it to suffer at first with theatrical attendance, which fueled the excitement surrounding its OTT release.
