Bollywood star aamir khan is making a comeback to the screen with the film 'Sittare Zameen Par' after the failure of the film 'Laal Singh Chaddha'. He is actively involved in the promotion of this film, which will be released on june 20. During the bollywood Hungama Style Icon Summit and Awards 2025 event, aamir khan said that he initially refused to act in the film 'Sittare Zameen Par'. aamir khan was reportedly very depressed during that period. farhan akhtar was signed to act in the hindi version of 'Sittare Zameen Par' and Sivakarthikeyan in the tamil version. While he was working on 'Sittare Zameen Par' with R.S. Prasanna, the coronavirus pandemic spread. Due to this, he decided to take a break from cinema to spend time with his family. As his children insisted that he continue acting in films, he started acting in the film 'Laal Singh Chaddha'. But he was heartbroken after that film failed and said that he did not want to act in 'Sitaare Zameen Par' either.
I refused to act in the film 'Sittare Zameen Par'. director prasanna laughed when he heard this. Understanding my mood, he said, 'If you don't want to act, then work as a producer.' We decided to make 'Sittare Zameen Par' in two versions, with farhan akhtar in the hindi version and Sivakarthikeyan in the tamil version. They liked the story. They also agreed to act.

Before the shooting started, I would sit with the writer and director for a week or two and read the story. In half an hour, I thought, 'Why didn't I act in this film?' On the seventh day, I told the writers divya and prasanna that I liked the story. 'Now the time has passed. The casting is over,' I said. The crew had no problem with me because they had originally planned to cast me. I apologized to Farhan and Sivakarthikeyan. Although they were disappointed, they understood my situation.
