The production company Twenty Four Frames Factory Pvt. Ltd. has released a strong public notice directed at critics, viewers, and online entities as the highly anticipated movie Kannappa prepares for its global premiere on Friday, june 27th, 2025, warning against malicious attacks or baseless trolling directed at the movie or its creators.

The creators said in an official statement that Kannappa is the product of a great deal of artistic and legal conformity, as well as a great deal of creative effort and financial investment.  The crew attested to the fact that the movie has obtained all necessary approvals, certifications, and intellectual property rights for its planned release.  The movie is the result of "lawful, legitimate, and creative enterprise," they declared unequivocally.

A Call for Responsible Criticism
The production company urged the audience and reviewers to see the movie first, comprehend its purpose and content, and interact with it sensibly.  They cautioned viewers against succumbing to biased viewpoints or vengeful remarks, particularly when they lack context or comprehension.

Free Expression vs. Malevolent Intent

The authors referenced court decisions that differentiate between valid criticism and deliberate, defamatory attacks, even as they acknowledged the right to free expression guaranteed by Article 19(1)(a) of the indian Constitution.  Citing prominent court rulings, such as those rendered by the delhi and kerala High Courts, they emphasized that willful damage to creative works' reputations does not fall within the definition of protected speech and could have legal repercussions.

Protection for mohan babu & vishnu Manchu
The statement further emphasized that Dr. mohan babu and Mr. vishnu Manchu, the two main performers in the movie, have been given legal protection by the delhi High court against any unlawful use, distortion, or defamation of their public persona or image.  Strict legal action will be taken against anyone who violates these legal protections, whether for business or personal benefit.

Legal Action against Piracy and Defamation
Additionally, the producers cautioned against showing, streaming, or otherwise disseminating the movie in whole or in part without permission.  They said that any such behavior would have repercussions under civil, criminal, and cyber law, and that those who engage in such behavior would be held fully accountable for their acts.

A movie That Is Worth Honoring

The Kannappa crew emphasized that they are still watchful and dedicated to seeing the movie get the respect it deserves, even in the face of obstacles encountered throughout production.  They urged the people to support, be kind, and enjoy Kannappa as the potent film it aspires to be as they concluded their speech.
