The indian government is responding not just with words but with strategic actions. In the wake of several statements and actions being taken against india by neighboring china as well as distant turkey, the Center has taken a key decision. The ex-accounts of prominent government media outlets of these two countries have been banned in India. In the past few years, India-China relations have become tense due to border disputes. The Chinese army is frequently making intrusions in areas like Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh, which is not allowing the bilateral atmosphere to remain peaceful. It is against this backdrop that it seems that the official Chinese news agency ‘Global Times News’ has ‘withheld’ the ex-account in India.
Turkey is also working with pakistan against India. Recently, news has emerged that turkey supported pakistan after the pahalgam terror attack and provided assistance through drones. In addition, the Turkish government-controlled TRT World media outlet is also publishing anti-India content. In the wake of these developments, the central government has taken a key decision. Global Times news (China) and TRT World (Turkey) X accounts have been made 'unavailable' in India. Currently, if these accounts are opened in X, it appears as 'Account Withheld in India'. It is reported that the reasons for this may be X policies or court orders.

In the past, Reuters also faced a similar problem. However, after their explanation to the Center, the obstacles on those accounts were removed. Currently, all accounts of Reuters like Tech news, Fact Check, Pictures, Asia, and china are available in India. These measures are considered a crucial part of India's efforts not only to enhance its internal security but also to prevent anti-India propaganda. The decision has sent a strong message that the Centre will not tolerate interference in its sovereignty and internal affairs.
