Banaras Hindu university (BHU) has announced the final mop-up round of counseling for postgraduate admissions for the academic session 2025-26. This is the last opportunity for students to claim vacant seats in BHU PG programs.
1. Date and Mode of Counseling
Date: september 6, 2025
Time: 10 AM to 4 PM
Mode: Offline (in-person at the respective department or center)
Applications will not be accepted online; candidates must report in person.
2. Who Can Participate?
Eligible candidates include those who:
Qualified in the BHU PG entrance test (and relevant GD, interview, or practical/physical test).
Did not secure a seat in the regular or spot counseling rounds.
Cancelled or withdrew a previously allotted seat.
Failed to deposit the admission fee earlier.
Are still on the waiting list.
This ensures that only genuinely unplaced candidates compete for remaining seats.
3. Admission Process
Seat allocation will be merit-based.
Candidates must bring all necessary documents and a Rs 2,000 demand draft in favor of “The Registrar, Banaras Hindu University” (security deposit).
No option for upgradation will be provided.
Surrendering previously allotted seats is not allowed from september 2 until the mop-up round concludes.
4. Result Announcement
Results of the mop-up counseling will be declared within 48 hours.
Students allotted a seat must pay the admission fee on time, or their demand draft will be forfeited.
Demand drafts of those who do not get a seat or successfully complete admission will be returned immediately.
5. Key Instructions for Students
Appear at the respective department/center between 10 AM and 4 PM on september 6.
Bring all required documents and the Rs 2,000 demand draft.
This is the final chance to secure a BHU PG seat for 2025-26.
