Delhi Bomb Threats: Rising Wave of Hoax Alerts Across the Capital


Recent Incident at Max Hospital, Shalimar Bagh


After the Taj Palace Hotel, Max Hospital received a bomb threat.


The threat was made via a phone call to the hospital’s call center.


Delhi police and delhi Fire service immediately reached the location.


Search operations were conducted thoroughly within the hospital premises.


No suspicious object was found during the operation.


The hospital issued a statement prioritizing the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.

Previous Bomb Threats in Delhi


On Friday, a similar threat was made to the delhi high court, which turned out to be false.


On 15 february 2024, the high court received a bomb threat; investigation found it was a hoax.


On 16 april 2025, Dwarka district court received a threat; the building was evacuated and searched.


On 1 May 2025, the delhi high court directed the delhi police and government to submit a detailed report on such incidents.


Rising Threats to Schools and Colleges


Between january and august 2025, over 100 educational institutions in Delhi-NCR received bomb threats.


Notable institutions include DPS Vasant Vihar, Amity school SaketModern SchoolVasant Valley SchoolSRCCand St. Stephen’s College.


In July 2025, over 50 schools received threats within four days.


On July 17, police arrested a 12-year-old boy for sending hoax emails to St. Stephen's college and St. Thomas School.


Police Response and Investigation


All threats so far have been proven to be false alarms.


However, police treat every threat with utmost seriousness.


Authorities are working to trace the origins of such hoax messages and ensure public safety.
