Apple is reportedly developing two versions of its next-generation mobile processor — the A20 and the A20 Pro — which are expected to power the upcoming iPhone 18 series. These chips are rumored to deliver a massive leap in speed, efficiency, and AI performance, potentially making the iphone 18 Apple’s most powerful smartphone ever.

According to industry reports, the A20 series will be built using TSMC’s cutting-edge 2-nanometer (2nm) process, marking a significant advancement from the 3nm chips used in current iPhones. This new architecture allows for more transistors in a smaller space, improving overall performance while consuming less power. As a result, users can expect faster app launches, smoother multitasking, and better battery life.

The A20 Pro chip is likely to be reserved for the higher-end iPhone 18 Pro and iphone 18 Pro Max models.
