Air Defence Action
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Defence released a 40-second black-and-white video showing its air defence systems intercepting and destroying incoming Iranian drones.
The footage shows defence systems detecting aerial threats and launching interceptors that destroy the drones in mid-air.
Officials said the interceptions took place during the latest wave of Iranian attacks targeting the region.
Authorities confirmed that multiple aerial threats were neutralised before they could cause major damage.
Missiles And Drone Interceptions
According to the uae Ministry of Defence, air defence systems detected 17 ballistic missiles during the latest attacks.
Out of these, 16 missiles were successfully intercepted and destroyed, while one missile fell into the sea without causing damage.
The military also detected 117 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched during the attack.
113 drones were intercepted and destroyed by the UAE’s air defence systems.
Four drones fell inside uae territory, though authorities did not immediately report major damage from those incidents.
Defence officials said the air defence network remains on high alert to counter further threats.
Interceptions Since Start Of Attacks
Since the beginning of the Iranian attacks, the uae has detected a large number of missiles and drones targeting the country.
Authorities reported a total of 238 ballistic missiles detected so far.
Of these, 221 missiles were intercepted and destroyed by the air defence system.
15 missiles fell into the sea, while two landed inside the UAE.
The Defence Ministry also reported the detection of 1,422 Iranian UAVs since the attacks began.
1,342 drones were intercepted, while 80 drones fell within uae territory.
In addition, eight cruise missiles were detected and successfully destroyed.
Casualties And Injuries
Officials confirmed that the attacks resulted in four fatalities.
The victims included nationals from Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh.
Authorities also reported 112 people sustaining moderate to minor injuries.
Those injured include individuals from India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Egypt, Bangladesh, Azerbaijan, Sri Lanka, Yemen, Bahrain, and Turkey.
Safety Advisory For Residents
UAE authorities warned residents not to film sensitive locations or share images of attack sites.
The indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi also issued an advisory to indian nationals.
It warned that strict action may be taken against anyone recording restricted areas, incident locations, or airport interiors without authorisation.
Residents have been advised to remain indoors and follow official safety guidelines during alert warnings.
