Adani's firm will also make drones for agri.???


Recently, prime minister Narendra Modi had said big things about the importance of drone technology and indicated its expansion in the country. Meanwhile, there are now reports that adani Group, the company of the country's richest industrialist gautam adani, is preparing to knock in the defense and aeronautics sector as well. Now a subsidiary of adani Enterprises, the flagship company of the adani Group, has invested in a Bengaluru-based startup that makes commercial drones.


Buying stake of 50%

In fact, adani Defense Systems and Technologies Limited, a company of adani Group, has entered into a firm deal to buy 50% equity (50 Percent Share Holding) stake in agricultural drone startup General Aeronautics. According to adani Enterprises, the process of this acquisition will be completed by July 31, 2022.


However, the company has not yet disclosed the financial details of this agreement. On Friday, the shares of adani Enterprises climbed up to 2% to close at Rs 2,085. In such a situation, there is a possibility that its shares may rise.

The company is working on drones for the agricultural sector

At the same time, regarding this deal, ashish Rajvanshi, CEO of adani Defense told in a BSE filing that this acquisition will help the company to increase its military UAV capability. Bangalore-based General Aeronautics develops robotic drones for technology-based crop protection services, crop health monitoring and yield monitoring services using artificial intelligence and data analytics.
