Why does hitting your funny bone feel like tickling??

You must have seen that whenever our elbow collides with something, instead of sharp pain, it feels like a current or some tingling. Be it, children or adults, everyone must have felt this experience in their life, but have you ever wondered what is the reason behind it or why it happens only with elbows, like this when the rest of our body gets hurt.

Answer here:

The bone of the elbow, which we feel like a current as soon as it hits, is called 'funny bone' in colloquial language. Wherein in medical science, it is called the ulnar nerve (nerve). This nerve passes through our neck (collar bone), shoulders, and hands to the wrist. After this, it splits from here and ends on the ring finger and little finger.

At the same time, the work of nerves is to carry the messages from the brain to the rest of the body. Like the entire nervous system of the body, most of the ulnar nerve is protected between the bones, marrow, and joints, but the part passing through the elbow is covered only by skin and fat. In such a situation, as soon as the elbow hits something, then there is a direct blow on this nerve and we feel like a current. That is, when this pressure suddenly falls directly on your nerve, then you feel a strong tingling or a combination of current, tickling, and pain.
