While speaking on the occasion of the film’s anniversary, Johar reflected on the audience's overwhelming response to the vintage love story that unexpectedly stole hearts. The emotional depth and quiet charm of the Dharmendra-Shabana track became one of the most talked-about aspects of the film.
“There’s a separate love story there,” Johar said. “I may one day make a film on their characters from rocky Aur rani Kii prem Kahaani.”
