A fire accident took place at a government hospital in bhopal madhya pradesh Four newborns died on monday night.

This incident took place in a special unit of the Kamala Nehru Children's Hospital four children died in the fire accident in the special newborn care unit (SNCU) ward due to a short circuit. 


The remaining children were shifted to the adjacent ward. The fire started in the ICU ward on the third floor of the hospital, at around 9 pm and 8-10 fire engineers rushed to the site and made to control it.

Chief minister of madhya pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan, condoling the deaths as it is very sad to hear it. 

40 children were admitted to the SNCU in total.

Out of 40 children, 36 were under treatment in different wards. 

Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had announced to provide  Rs 4 lakh for each family.

 And also he reported to social media that they were not able to protect the lives of three children, who were very badly injured in the very painful fire incident. 


The rescue operators brought the flame under control but unfortunately,  couldn’t save the lives of three children.


The hospital had not applied for any fire safety no-objection certificate and safety equipment that is not functioning which was officially confirmed.
