Sudden Surge in Hepatitis Cases
Chhainsa village in Palwal district, Haryana, is facing a serious health crisis with a sudden increase in hepatitis patients. Approximately 32 people are currently undergoing treatment for hepatitis C, raising concerns among residents and health authorities.
Deaths and health Department Action
Recently, seven people tragically died due to jaundice and hepatitis infection. Overall, the village has reported 15 deaths so far, with four confirmed as caused by hepatitis B. The Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Harish Kumar Vashishtha, personally visited the area and has directed strict measures to contain the outbreak. The health department has intensified door-to-door screening and testing campaigns to prevent further spread.
New Hepatitis B Cases
In addition to ongoing hepatitis C cases, 12 new hepatitis B infections have been reported in the village. The sudden rise in both hepatitis B and C cases has put local health authorities on high alert.
