Fans Disgruntled With Ponniyin Selvan's OTT Release..!?

Director mani ratnam has successfully directed and released ponniyin selvan, a long-time dream project of tamil cinema. Adapted from Kalki's ponniyin selvan novel, the film has received an overwhelming response and is running successfully in theatres. While the first part of the film is out now, the second part is going to be released in a few months. The first installment of ponniyin selvan features a stellar cast including Vikram, jayam Ravi, Karthi, aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Rahman, Ashwin, aishwarya Lakshmi, Sopita, Prabhu and vikram Prabhu.
This film, which is made to tell the merits of the Chola Empire, has collected more than Rs.500 crores and set a new record at the box office. ponniyin selvan has earned the honor of being the highest-grossing tamil film in many places, including overseas. Many fans who saw this film on the screen were eagerly waiting to watch the film in OTT. As expected by fans, Ponniyin Selvan-1 was released in tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and malayalam on the amazon Prime OTT platform. But now amazon Prime users have to pay separately if they want to watch the movie in OTT.On the other hand, the OTT company has also said that after November-4th, they can watch the movie for free, however, the plan to watch the film on payment has caused a lot of dissatisfaction among the fans. There is no information about the hindi release of 'Ponniyin Selvan-1' in OTT let alone pay-per-view, but according to some reports, the hindi version of the film is expected to release in OTT in the second week of November.
