Dipika Kakar married shoaib ibrahim on 22 february 2018 in a traditional Nikah ceremony in Bhopal. Shoaib comes from a Muslim family, so Dipika had an inter-religion marriage with him. The news of Deepika's name proved to be true when a picture of her marriage card surfaced, in which Deepika's name is written as 'Faiza'.

A spokesperson close to the couple had said, “She (Deepika) has not converted. Her name is deepika Kakkar. She will change it to Dipika Ibrahim. I spoke to him personally. They have used 'Faiza' only for the invitation card." deepika also once talked about her religious conversion.

Shoaib and deepika announced their pregnancy on 22 january 2023 through an insta post on their instagram account. He had shared a picture in the post, in which the two were twinning in white outfits and sitting with their backs to the camera. However, it was his cap, which had 'Mom to be' and 'Dad to be' written on it.
