Thunivu Vs Varisu-Box office collection!!!
The family action film Varisu, starring Thalapathy Vijay, and the action thriller Thunivu, starring ajith kumar, both hit theatres on january 11 and caused a pongal clash at the box office. Both movies are prepared to fully capitalise on the five-day extended weekend after taking tremendous openings that had the cash registers roaring.
According to the trade monitoring website Sacnilk.com, Thunivu fetched in Rs 36.20 crore over the course of two days in india, with Rs 24.4 crore on the first day and Rs 11.8 crore on the second. Just a few millimetres separate ajith Kumar's film from Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu. According to the same trade tracking platform, Varisu, which stars rashmika mandanna as the lead actress, made Rs 26.7 crore on its opening day and Rs 11.55 crore on its second day, bringing its two-day total of india nett receipts to Rs 38.25 crore.
In the movie about bank fraud and corruption, ajith kumar plays a bank robber. The tamil superstar is depicted as a figure with grey shading. The action-packed entertainer is commended for telling a compelling story and simultaneously conveying a message against greed.
In addition to ajith kumar, Manju Warrier, Samuthirakani, Mamathi Chari, john Kokken, Bagavathi Perumal, and Chirag Jani all play crucial roles in Thunivu. It is produced by boney kapoor under the name Bayview Projects LLP and directed by H Vinoth.
After the legal drama Nerkonda Paarvai in 2019 and valimai in 2022, director H Vinoth, star ajith kumar, and producer boney kapoor have worked together three times in a row on a film. The former is an authorised tamil remake of the amitabh bachchan and Taapsee Pannu-starrer pink from the hindi language.
