Although an official statement from the producers is still needed, it is all but certain that Prabhas' eagerly anticipated tentpole Salaar will not be opening on september 28 as previously reported. This unforeseen delay is being caused by the director Prashanth Neel's dissatisfaction with the team's CG work in certain of the film's important moments, who wants them to redo those effects.

A perfect release date is now necessary for a huge movie like Salaar, which has a lot of money and high expectations riding on it, to make sure that the box office openings are unaffected. The creators' last remaining choice is to release the movie on Sankranti. According to reports, the team has set january 10th as the release date.

Other tollywood bigwigs may need to reevaluate their release plans if Salaar goes to Sankranti. Sankranthi movie times have already been reserved for films like guntur Kaaram, Naa Saami Ranga, and Hanu-Man. The movie starring parasuram and Vijay devarakonda is also competing. Therefore, the cancellation of Salaar is likely to ruin the preparations for all of these projects.

A few expensive films and a few films with a modest budget can be shown during a busy festival season like Sankranti. However, it's unclear whether the producers of guntur Kaaram and Naa Saami Ranga would take a chance and go forward with their intentions to premiere their films at the same time as Salaar. If Salaar debuts in january, a few other films could also take a diversion.

Currently, there is a great deal of ambiguity around the release dates of several anticipated films in the trade circles. A formal statement from the Salaar team would appear to be the only way to put an end to this misunderstanding.
