Sreeleela, the season's leading lady, made headlines with her signing spree in all the hot flicks. The young actress is in so many films that one is released every two weeks or so. The excitement, following, and offers are all positive, but her job selection is harming her growing image. Sreeleela plays the female lead in Nithiin's Extra Ordinary Man, which was released this week.

The character was written so blandly that it ends up seeming like a standard glam doll heroine who will appear for the dance routines but then disappear for the rest of the film. Sreeleela has recently been given a monotonous love song and a few dancer routines, and she appears to be agreeing. When so many other actresses are clamouring for jobs with depth, Sreeleela playing a brainless affluent girl who falls for a good-for-nothing is ludicrous.

Except for Bhagavanth Kesari, Sreeleela has already had failures in her filmography with skanda and Aadikesava. Her performance as Extraordinary Man is also unappreciated. These low-quality roles are undermining her popularity and image. Her next film will be Mahesh Babu's guntur Kaaram, and it would be interesting to see if trivikram offered her a solid part.
