Panchavadyam was presented by venu Marar and his band. priyamani was quoted as saying, "Advances in technology mean that we can maintain our rich cultural practices and heritage while ensuring that animals are not harmed."

Robotic elephants kept for the first time in Kerala

Thrikkayil Mahadeva temple owner Thekkinyedath Vallabhan Namboothiri said he was very happy with the mechanical elephant Mahadevan, out of reverence for all the animals created by God. Like humans, all animals also want to live free and safe with their families. Last year, the authorities of Irinjadapilly sri krishna temple in thrissur district, maintaining their decision of not using live animals in any festival, introduced a robotic elephant for the temple rituals.
