Renowned hindi cinema actress and dance guru madhumati passed away on wednesday morning, leaving the film industry in shock.
Madhumati was not only famous for her acting but was also a highly skilled dancer trained in various indian classical dance forms including Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Manipuri, and Kathakali.
Her exceptional dance performances in hindi films earned her great acclaim, with many comparing her style to the legendary dancer Helen.
Besides her acting career, madhumati was a respected dance teacher who taught many prominent actors in Bollywood.
Among her students was superstar Akshay Kumar, who paid a heartfelt tribute to her on social media.
Akshay Kumar shared on Instagram:
“My forever guru. Everything I know about dance, I learned from you, madhumati ji. Every style, every expression, I learned from you. Your memory will always be with me. Om Shanti.”

Madhumati married Manohar deepak at the young age of 19 but chose to stay away from the film industry and focus on her passion for dance.
Despite stepping back from the limelight, she considered dance her true soul and continued teaching students passionately until her last days.
Her death marks the loss of a significant contributor to indian classical dance and hindi cinema, remembered not only for her art but also for her dedication to nurturing talent.
