Sinha said he offered support and comforting words to Hema, Esha, and Ahana during their period of grief.
He remembered dharmendra as a “kind and gentle soul” whose memories will remain forever.

Sinha had worked with dharmendra in Blackmail (1973) and Zalzala (1988), and with hema in Hiraasat (1987) and Qaidi (1984); all three appeared in Dost (1974).

Filmmaker Hamad Al Reyami also met hema during the mourning period.
He described her as visibly shaken, struggling to speak while recalling Dharmendra’s last days.
She emotionally wished she had been at the farm during his final moments.
She shared her regret that Dharmendra’s poems and writings remained unpublished.
Dharmendra would delay publishing, saying: “Let me finish some poems first.”
Hema expressed sadness that the world may now learn about dharmendra through others’ books and interpretations, not through his own words.

Hema told Hamad that dharmendra never wanted to be seen weak or ill.
Throughout his life, he hid his pain — even from close relatives.
She believed keeping the funeral intimate protected his dignity and memory.
She added the final days were too painful to witness, calling the decision a mercy.
🌹 Final Rites and Remembrance
Dharmendra’s cremation took place on november 25 in Mumbai.
Major film personalities, including amitabh bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, salman khan, Aamir Khan, and Salim Khan attended.
A later Celebration of Life prayer service saw tributes from stars such as rekha and aishwarya Rai.
Fans and the film fraternity continue to honour the legacy of the legendary superstar.
