Tamil Cinema is getting heaps of releases each Friday and this gets worse as every week passes. Last Friday Tamil cinema had five releases and this Friday (October 16th) is going to have seven releases. Sad thing is only one is a renowned movie.
Anushka's 'Rudhramadevi' is the only note-worthy movie
Anushka's 'Rudhramadevi' is the only note-worthy movie and the rest of the movies are filled with newbies. They don't even have reputed technical team. 'Rudhrmadevi' also opened to mixed reviews in Telugu and so it might affect collections in Kollywood.
The next movie which is releasing this Friday is 'Sivappu'. 'Kazhugu' fame Sathya Siva has directed the project and this movie is all about Eela Tamizhargal. The movie was completed long back and after lots of hiccups it has got a release date. Raj Kiran has done a pivotal role and Rupa Manjuri has done role of an Eelam girl.
'Mayyam', Mansoor Ali Khan's 'Athiradi', Mahendran's 'Viraivil Isai', 'Thiraipada Nagaram', 'Marapaachi' are other releases. The number of screen count for all these movies is expected to be less than 50 as most of them are unworthy of the cast and technical team.
