PAK writes to UNSC countries over Kashmir

PAK PM Nawaz Shariff ahead of his UN General Assembly address wrote to the permanent members of the Security Council  over the Kashmir issue saying it is a "constant source of tension and instability" posing a threat to world peace and security trying to highlight the so called "grave human rights violations" in Kashmir.


Saudi Police bust IS terror network

Saudi Arabia revealed that it busted a terror network having links with ISIS that was planning for future attacks across the country and earlier was involved in past attacks. Saudi police arrested 17 suspects including Saudi women. ISIS mostly targeted minority Shites community and security personnel. 


Military aircraft crashes in Egypt

A military aircraft crashed at a place in Abu Hamad Village. The crash happened during the training flight in Sharqeya governorate in Egypt killing both the pilots. Preliminary investigations revealed that technical snag was behing the problem. Last November, a military helicopter crashed on the road of Cairo-Ismailia. 


Boko Haram attack in Nigeria

In a suspected Boko Haram attack 8 people were killed in Nigeria. Gunmen on bicycles carried out the attack in north east Nigeria killing 8 in front of a church. According to local residents gunmen opened fire and 8 men died in the  village of Kwamjilari, Borno state. 


Pro Putin party win in Russia

Pro Putin parties won the parliamentary elections in Russia. The ruling United Russia party won 51 percent in Sunday's election and it will help the party found by Putin to extend its dominance in the lower house of parliament, or Duma. 


Angela Merkel suffers setback in Germany

German Chancellor Angela Merkel's CDU party  got shock for the second time in two weeks on Sunday when it slumped to its lowest level since 1990 in a Berlin state vote that rejected her open-door refugee policy.Voters turned to the anti-immigrant Alternative for Germany (AfD), which with 12.9 percent of the vote will enter its 10th regional assembly among the country's 16 states.

Uri attack: India keeps all options open

Indian Government led by PM Modi held series of consultations and later decided to keep all options open on how to respond in the aftermath of terrorist attack in Uri,Kashmir. PM Modi met Defence Minister Manohar Parikkar, Home Minister Rajnath Singh,NSA Ajit Dowal and Army chiefs before deciding to step up the offensive. While Army issued statement saying "We reserve the right to respond at a time and place of our choosing+ ,", Government decided to diplomatically isolate Pakistan’ at every international grouping and also also present all actionable evidence if required at international bodies. PM Modi also met President Pranab Mukherjee and apprised him of the latest situation. 


SC refuses to stay Shahabuddin bail

RJD strong man,Shahabuddin accused in various criminal cases who was out on bail, got a breather when the Supreme Court on Monday refused to stay  a Patna High Court order granting bail in a murder case. It said it prefer to first hear the case in detail before taking action. SC was hearing to the PIL filed by  Chandrakeshwar Prasad, whose three sons were allegedly killed by Shahabuddin's henchmen a decade ago, the Bench sought a response from the Bihar government and Shahabuddin within a week. 


Karnataka ordered to release 3,000 cusecs/day to TN by Cauvery panel

Cauvery Supervisory Committee today overruling the differences between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu ordered  Karnataka to release 3,000 cusecs water per day to Tamil Nadu between September 21 and September 30 after the two states failed to reach an understanding despite day long discussions. 


HC blasts Sajjan for aspersion on Judge in 1984 riots

Delhi High Court took serious note of Congress leader Sajjan Kumar, key accused in 1984 anti sikh riots for casting "aspersions" on a judge for hearing a case relating to 1984 anti-Sikh riots in which CBI has filed an appeal against his acquittal by the trial court. HC questioned angrily "we do not understand why you do not want to get over with the hearing".


35 killed as Bus falls into pond in Bihar

When a bus fell into a road side pond at Basaitha chowk under Bennipatti police station in Madhubani, about 50 km from the district headquarters in Bihar, around 35 passengers were killed. 65 passengers were on board and sources say some of them swam to safety. DSP of Bennipatti said search and rescue operations are on.
